Are you looking for a mentor in Manchester?

At SpacePortX, we are now offering a mentorship programme to the Manchester tech community. Our aim at SpacePortX is to create the opportunity for industry experts to guide and advise other members of the community to help grow and build Manchester to become #MCRTop5. The mentorship programme allows startups, entrepreneurs and students to brainstorm, discuss and pursue their ideas and projects with the support of others.

As part of our mentorship programme, industry experts will offer their skills, experience and knowledge to those looking for guidance and feedback. Whether you’re just at the beginning or your adventure or you’re in the swing of things, whether you’re a student thinking about the daunting journey of postgraduate life or thinking about dropping out, our mentors will be able to answer your questions and help you out on the right path.

Our expert mentors have experience within the tech industry including Zain, one of the lead organisers of AndroidMCR, Pete, an experience APS Software Developer from, Technical Director of Farm, Jon, and Ric Roberts from Swirrl. If you have any tech startup queries or problems, any questions about what to do after university, or seek advice on your latest project, these industry experts will be happy to answer your questions and point you in the right direction. It is an opportunity to pick their brains about their experiences in startups and getting into the Manchester tech scene.

Interested in a SpacePortX mentoring session?

Make sure you sign up to our sessions with any of our mentors via our website event page. Don’t forget to provide a little information about what you do and what areas you’d like help or advice with, so that we can best sculpt your sessions.

We also support loads of other mentoring schemes across the UK. If you haven’t already, check out Google’s Launchpad, a developer program that we’re partnering with. Also, for something a bit more local, have a look at Northern Soho’s Mentoring Match and all the amazing things that the Business Growth Hub have to offer.

If you run a mentoring scheme in Manchester, we'd love to hear about it and see how we can help. As always, any questions on how you can get involved, just give us a shout!
