Introducing Karl

Hello there!

I'm sure most of the people in the office will have seen me roaming about the space or sat at the front desk with Rob learning all there is to know about SpacePortX. If you haven't already please don't hesitate to drop by and say hello as many of you already have! A very welcoming and friendly vibe was the initial impression I got from all the residents that introduced themselves and had a chat with me in the past two weeks. My aim is to get to know everyone in the office so that hopefully if there is anything I can do to help there won't be any hesitations to give me a shout!

So now to just briefly introduce myself; I'm Karl! I come from Denmark originally, grew up in Sweden and moved to the U.K. two years ago to study Law. While I was studying I've worked at IKEA as a Customer Relations Co-Worker in the Ashton store. I've since taken an interruption from my degree and will hopefully be taking over the running of the office in the future.

It has been made very clear to me what this space means to the community, the residents and the founders and so I will do my very best to do it justice and keep it running smoothly. The main goal is that we'll continue to keep Manchester in the Top 5 for Startup Locations in Europe (always aiming for that top spot!), and provide the community with the opportunities it deserves.

Finally, I'm always down for a cup of tea or coffee and a friendly chat or just to hear about what you've got going on!
